A neighbour who gets things done
Nicole Trombetta has lived in Hamilton her entire life — born here, raised here, and now raising her own family here. When roads crumble, taxes climb, or neighbourhoods feel less safe, it's not an abstract policy problem to her — it's her kids' school route, her parents' tax bill, and her own community.
She's an entrepreneur with a background in legal services — from building her own small bakery business, to coordinating major special events, and experience navigating tribunals. She's a business development strategist who has spent years organizing events that bring Stoney Creek together, including co-founding Boots in the Creek, the free festival that fills downtown Stoney Creek every summer.
Plenty of candidates make promises. Nicole's record is different: she plans, she organizes, and she delivers — and she's done it right here, in this community, for years.

My plan to lower taxes
Nicole's promise: no property-tax increases above inflation.
Homeowners are carrying too much of the load. City staff first proposed a 5.5% increase for homeowners this year. Council brought it down to 3.87%, about $209 more for the average home, but that is still well above inflation. Nicole's plan is not to cut jobs. It's to make Hamilton open for business, grow our tax base and take the pressure off homeowners.

Bring good jobs to Ward 10's business park
Ward 10 is home to the Stoney Creek Business Park, about 1,856 acres between Grays Road and Fifty Road. Businesses pay a higher tax rate than homes, so every new employer helps carry the load. Nicole will work to fill empty lots with businesses that bring good local jobs, and push back on turning that job land into other uses.

Make Hamilton truly "open for business"
Businesses shouldn't wait months for answers from City Hall. Nicole will push for clear timelines on business permits, one go-to contact at the City for businesses that want to grow here, and public reporting on how long approvals actually take.

Fill empty storefronts and vacant properties
Empty buildings bring in less tax money and hurt our neighbourhoods. Nicole will work with local business groups to get vacant spaces filled again.

No tax increases above inflation
Nicole will vote against any yearly property-tax increase above inflation. We'll get there by spending smarter, not by cutting jobs or frontline services: a careful review of spending, cutting waste, and clear reports so you can see where your money goes.

Bring other governments' money home
Big projects like the new Winona recreation centre shouldn't fall only on local homeowners. Nicole will fight for federal and provincial funding, using the skills she built bringing Boots in the Creek to life.

Fix it right the first time
Patching the same road every spring wastes money. Repairs that are done properly and last save taxpayers money over time.

Safe streets, strong community
Everyone deserves to feel safe walking their own neighbourhood — day or night. Nicole will protect the integrity and safety of Ward 10's streets, parks and public spaces.

Fix our roads — actually
Our roads are terrible, and everyone knows it. Nicole will push for real resurfacing schedules, honest timelines, and repairs that last more than one winter.

Infrastructure that lasts
Nicole will end the patch-and-pray cycle — maintaining what we have efficiently, fixing flooding and aging systems sustainably, and planning ahead instead of reacting late.

Decisions for the next generation
Every decision Nicole makes will be measured against one question: does this make Ward 10 better for the families here today and for the generations that follow? That is the standard she will bring to every vote at City Hall.
